Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) - Nuclear to join our Power & Energy Team. The selected candidate will lead electrical design, analysis, and verification for nuclear projects, including life extension, commissioning, and restart.

You will collaborate with utility owners, reactor vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and design integrity. The role requires extensive experience with Class 1E systems, NRC/ASME/NQA-1 standards, and proven leadership in

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer license (PE) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for nuclear generation projects and act as discipline lead for assigned work.
  • Design, analyze, and review Class 1E and non-Class 1E power systems, safety-related equipment, and distribution.
  • Prepare nuclear-grade calculations, drawings, specifications, and procurement documents.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear codes, standards, and licensing requirements across the project lifecycle.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate interfaces across engineering and operations.
