Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) - Nuclear to lead electrical design and systems engineering for nuclear projects. You will work with utility owners, reactor developers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery across the project life cycle.

The role emphasizes technical leadership in Class 1E and non-Class 1E systems, licensing-basis compliance, and comprehensive power system analyses, with opportunity to mentor others and contribute

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program and a PE license in at least one US jurisdiction, or ability to obtain one within an agreed timeframe.
  • 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, including nuclear power plants, facilities, or advanced reactor projects.
  • Experience with nuclear electrical systems, Class 1E and non-Class 1E power systems, safety and quality classifications, and licensing-basis requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for nuclear generation projects, including operating plant modifications and new nuclear development.
  • Lead electrical design, systems engineering, analysis, verification, and oversight across project life cycle.
  • Coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary teams and manage scope, schedule, and budgets.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals and capability development.
  • Apply nuclear safety classifications, QA, and configuration-management requirements.
  • Perform power system studies: load flow, short-circuit, motor starting, voltage drop, arc-flash analysis.
