Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) - Nuclear to lead electrical engineering for nuclear projects within our Power & Energy Team. You will provide technical leadership across design, analysis, and regulatory compliance, interfacing with owners, vendors, and project teams.

You will guide feasibility through commissioning, ensuring safety-related and important-to-safety systems meet required standards while mentoring engineers and supporting business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with PE license or ability to obtain one within timeframe.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in nuclear power, facilities, or advanced reactors.
• Experience with Class 1E and non-Class 1E power systems, safety classifications, and design basis requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering for operating nuclear plants and new/reactor projects.
• Design, analyze, and modify Class 1E AC/DC power systems, emergency power, batteries and chargers, switchgear and protection.
• Prepare nuclear-grade calculations, drawings, specifications, and procurement documents.
• Ensure compliance with NRC, ASME NQA‑1, IEEE standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary teams and drive timely issue resolution.
