Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) – Nuclear to lead electrical design and systems engineering for nuclear projects. The role requires extensive experience with Class 1E systems, safety classifications, and regulatory compliance, working with owners, vendors, and teams.

The successful candidate will guide design, analysis, and verification across the project lifecycle, ensuring quality and adherence to nuclear procedures and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Safety-related, important-to-safety, and non-safety-related electrical systems and equipment.
• Experience with nuclear safety classification, quality classification, seismic classification and design-basis requirements.
• Knowledge of NRC requirements, ASME NQA-1, IEEE nuclear power standards, and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering for operating nuclear plants and new nuclear projects.
• Design, analyze, and modify Class 1E and non-Class 1E power systems and related safety systems.
• Prepare and review nuclear-grade calculations, drawings, specifications, and procurement documents.
• Coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary teams and ensure timely, compliant deliverables.
