Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) - Nuclear to join our Power & Energy Team in the United States. The role provides technical leadership for nuclear generation projects including operating plant modifications, new nuclear developments, and life extension, with accountability for safety-related and important-to-safety systems.

You will work with utility owners, reactor technology developers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • PE license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction or ability to obtain within timeframe.
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in nuclear facilities or related projects.
  • Experience with Class 1E systems, regulatory requirements, and design-control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design for operating nuclear plants, new nuclear projects, or advanced reactors.
  • Perform and review nuclear-grade calculations, drawings, specifications, and procurement documents.
  • Coordinate interfaces across multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship on nuclear safety and quality requirements.
