Protingent is seeking a Senior Fuel Handling System Design Engineer for a contract position to design nuclear fuel handling systems and sub-systems from requirements through final design. The role involves performing thermal, seismic, structural, and pipe-stress analyses and integrating results into the plant design delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design nuclear fuel handling systems and sub-systems from requirements to final design.
• Perform analyses (thermal, seismic, structural, pipe stress, heat transfer) and integrate results into plant design.
• Ensure correct design codes are applied (ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA, etc.).
• Interface with disciplines to create/manage P&IDs, 3D models and interface drawings.
• Provide technical direction and oversight of supplier data and reviews.
• Develop and maintain system design specifications and related documents.
