Job summary

Protingent Staffing seeks a Fuel Handling Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design from requirements through final release for fuel handling systems. The role collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure robust integration with mechanical designs and plant infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of electrical design experience, preferably in nuclear environments, and strong skills in electrical CAD tools and design documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of electrical design experience, with nuclear industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD tools and design documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design from requirements to final design release for fuel handling systems and equipment.
• Develop design deliverables including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, cable schedules, grounding/bonding plans, instrumentation specs, and interface control documents.
• Ensure integration of electrical systems with mechanical designs and plant infrastructure.
