Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Generation) - Nuclear to join our Power & Energy team. You will lead electrical design, analysis, and lifecycle support for nuclear projects, coordinating with utility owners, reactor vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant solutions.

This role focuses on Class 1E systems, licensing requirements, and project delivery from feasibility through turnover, with emphasis on quality, risk management, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license in the US preferred.
• 10+ years nuclear industry experience.
• Experience with Class 1E systems and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for nuclear generation projects, including operating plant modifications and new reactor development.
• Lead electrical design, systems engineering, analysis, verification, and technical oversight across the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and independently review nuclear-grade calculations, drawings, specifications, and design change packages.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces across instrumentation/controls, mechanical, civil/structural, and procurement teams.
• Ensure engineering work complies with nuclear procedures, quality standards, and licensing requirements.
