Job summary

Stop & Shop in Coventry, RI seeks a highly motivated Non-Perishable Manager to oversee daily operations across Grocery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty Care, Frozen, and Dairy. Lead department teams, ensure sales targets, sanitation and safety, and customer service excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements include 1–3 years of supervisory experience in retail grocery, plus a Bachelor's degree (preferred).

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent years of work experience.
• Strong communication, leadership and multitasking abilities to drive results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Grocery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty Care, Frozen, and Dairy departments.
• Ensure departments meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate training of non-perishable department team members.
• Monitor and evaluate associate performance, implementing action plans for growth.
• Foster diversity and inclusion within the team and control turnover.
• Manage labor relations to ensure policy and legal compliance.
• Provide best-in-class customer service and train staff accordingly.
• Coach for operational efficiency and cost control, and monitor stock management.
• Ensure all departments comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
