Job summary

Stop & Shop in West Hartford, CT is seeking a motivated Non-Perishable Manager to oversee daily operations across Grocery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty Care, Frozen, and Dairy. Lead department teams to meet sales and profit targets while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

You will drive people development, monitor performance, and foster diversity while delivering best-in-class service in a large-format store. Flexible hours and a focus on continuous improvement are expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery or related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of work experience.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, self-starter with a proven track record of success.
• Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively across functions.
• Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of Grocery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty Care, Frozen, and Dairy departments.
• Ensure departments meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Maintain high sanitation and safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate training of non-perishable department team members.
• Monitor associate performance and ensure development plans for professional growth.
• Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion within the team.
• Manage labor relations and address employee issues timely.
• Cultivate a culture of customer service excellence and well-stocked stores.
• Coach and provide feedback to improve operations and reduce costs.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
• Maintain safe working environment and conduct regular safety audits.
