Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Networking team seeks a senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to support Maryland and Delaware higher education and state government customers. You will partner with Territory Managers to design networking solutions, deliver presentations and PoCs, and shepherd opportunities from qualification through deployment.

The role requires 4+ years of networking experience, strong communication, and ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS or related field or equivalent experience.
4+ years networking experience.
Expertise in enterprise networking: Routing & Switching, Wireless, Security, SASE/SD-WAN, Data Center, Network Management.
Industry certifications (HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Cisco) desirable.
Experience supporting complex enterprise sales engagements.

Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and advance enterprise sales opportunities with Territory Managers.
Design and present networking solutions that meet customer requirements.
Lead technical discovery sessions, demos, and PoCs.
Develop solution architectures, proposals, and technical docs.
Articulate value of HPE Networking against competitors.
Serve as trusted technical advisor through the sales cycle.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and channel partners.
Stay current on networking technologies and trends.
