Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Networking seeks a senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to support Higher Education and State Government customers across Maryland and Delaware. You will partner with Territory Managers to design, present and prove networking solutions, including PoCs, while guiding opportunities from qualification through deployment.

You will lead technical discovery sessions, develop architectures and proposals, and articulate business value to executives and technical audiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
4+ years of networking experience.
Expertise in enterprise networking technologies: routing & switching, wireless, security, SASE/SD-WAN, data center, management platforms.
Industry certifications such as HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Cisco or equivalent are desirable.

Responsibilities

Partner with Territory Managers to identify and advance enterprise opportunities.
Design and present networking solutions aligned with customer requirements.
Lead technical discovery sessions, PoCs, and demonstrations.
Develop solution architectures, proposals, and technical documentation.
Position solutions against competitors by articulating business and technical value.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
