Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Presales Systems Engineer to support DC/MD/VA customers remotely. You will collaborate with Territory Managers to design innovative networking solutions and drive business outcomes across State, Local Government, and Education sectors.

You will deliver technical presentations, PoCs, and develop solution architectures while maintaining a strong pipeline and staying current with networking trends in a global edge-to-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in infrastructure or pre-sales in enterprise networking.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into business solutions.
• Collaborates effectively with customers, partners, sales teams, and executives.
• Experience with SLED (State, Local Government, Education) sectors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Territory Managers to identify and close new opportunities.
• Design end-to-end networking solutions addressing customer needs.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, workshops, and PoCs.
• Develop proposals, architectures, and implementation recommendations.
• Position offerings against competitors, articulating business value.
• Build long-term relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Support channel partners and demand-gen activities in the territory.
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and trends.
• Manage a healthy sales pipeline from discovery to deployment.
