Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Network Development Engineer for the Network Fabric Engineering team.

You will build, deploy, and scale AWS networks across global datacenters, balancing efficiency, performance, and reliability to ensure customer access to applications and data. Responsibilities include creating deployment procedures, drafting HLD/LLD documents, and collaborating with stakeholders to influence tech roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IP networking fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
• 8+ years of experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP and ISIS in large enterprise
• 3+ years experience with Unix/Linux and scripting in Python, Perl, shell.
• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent; Masters preferred

Responsibilities

• Create network designs, services, and deployment procedures to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with leadership to decide on projects supporting the mission.
• Design High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documents and influence roadmaps.
• Develop and automate deployment processes to improve quality and velocity.
• Work with internal customers to bring designs from concept to production.
