Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Senior Network Development Engineer to join the Network Fabric Engineering team. You will design, deploy, and scale the networks that power AWS services across multiple global datacenters.

You will create High Level Design and Low Level Design documents, influence roadmaps, and automate deployment processes to improve quality and velocity. This role requires 8+ years in IP networking and scripting, with experience in BGP/OSPF/MPLS and Cisco IOS

Qualifications

8+ years of IP networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
8+ years of experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP, ISIS in large enterprise.
3+ years with Unix/Linux scripting (Python, Perl, shell).
Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Create network designs, services, and deployment procedures addressing multiple requirements.
Decide on projects with leadership to support the team’s mission.
Design ahead of customer/tech needs; develop High Level and Low Level Design documents; influence roadmaps.
Automate deployment processes to increase quality and velocity.
