Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Network Development Engineer to build, deploy, and scale the networks supporting AWS, customers, and business units across multiple data centers.

You will join the Network Fabric Engineering team to balance efficiency, performance, and reliability while enabling customers access to applications and data. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineers to define scalable tooling, implement changes, and sustain complex

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience.
• 8+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 5+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Work closely with our automation teams in defining tools for scalable operations.
• Lead network projects in sustaining engineering, deployment, scaling, and optimization.
• Sustain AWS next generation networks for major customers and diagnose large-scale events.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations.
