Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Development Engineer for the Network Fabric Engineering team in Santa Clara, CA. You will build, deploy and scale the networks that support AWS services and customers across multiple datacenters.

You will work with automation, Linux/Unix environments and network hardware, leading projects, sustaining engineering, and delivering repeatable solutions while maintaining security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automation scripting (Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl).
• 8+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 5+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement network changes on the network.
• Collaborate with automation teams in defining tools to scale at higher volume.
• Lead network projects in sustaining engineering, deployment/implementation, scaling, and optimization.
• Sustain AWS networks for large customers by diagnosing, mitigating, and resolving large-scale events.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations; including Unix and networking tools.
