Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Sr. Network Development Manager to lead one of the AWS Network Fabric Engineering teams.

You will manage a 6+ person group of Network Development Engineers, shaping topology and ensuring scalable, reliable data-center networking. You will drive strategic goals, mentor engineers, and coordinate with global teams to deliver cost-efficient, low-latency networks across multiple datacenters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of people management experience or relevant leadership experience, managing a team of 8+ individual contributors.
• 3+ years of past experience with network engineering either as a manager or individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence across the Networking team and ensure standards and policies are followed.
• Measure network performance, capacity, and incident trends to improve ROI.
• Own performance management and career development for the team, including mentoring and training.
• Lead incident and change management to scale with AWS expansion and customer growth.
• Oversee recruiting and hiring, including evaluating candidates and guiding interview processes.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work and accelerate network operations.
• Define and deliver strategic goals for the team and communicate progress to leadership.
