Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the Network Fabric Engineering team. You will build, deploy, and scale AWS networks across global datacenters, balancing efficiency, performance and reliability to meet customer needs.

You will work with data centers, racks, interconnects, and modern networking software tools, contributing to high-availability networking for EC2, S3, EBS, and more.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.
• 8+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 5+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as HTTP and DNS.
• Experience with load balancers, switches, routers and related networking hardware.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Lead network projects in sustainment engineering and deployment.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations.
• Collaborate with Network/Infrastructure teams to roll out new designs and tools.
• Maintain standards and documentation for network implementations.
