Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid/Senior Network Engineer to join a fast-paced SAFe environment supporting a large program. You will contribute to network documentation, enterprise support, and security scanning while collaborating with IT teams and vendors to maintain robust LAN/WAN architecture.

The role emphasizes incident resolution, design/testing of new capabilities, and on-call responsiveness, with opportunities for growth within a mission-critical cyber and analytics context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience (or more with substitution).
• At least 5 years of in-depth experience with Cisco hardware/software.
• At least 5 years of in-depth experience with Palo Alto hardware/software.
• Experience analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of IP subnetting, VLANs, and OSI layers.
• Experience with multiple vendor networking products (switches/routers/firewalls).
• Experience with copper and fiber mediums and related connectors (RJ11/RJ45/LC/SC/ST).
• Ability to respond to operational issues while on-call.
• Some travel required.
• Clearance TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain network documentation for incident resolution.
• Provide enterprise network support coordinating with IT service provider teams.
• Manage IAVA processing and security scanning per System Security Plans.
• Propose, test, and install new capabilities in the environment.
• Oversee development of technical data like rack elevations and installation instructions.
