Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid/Senior Network Engineer to join a high-performing agile team supporting a large, fast-paced program. The role emphasizes enterprise network design and integration within a modern DEVOPS environment, with emphasis on security and documentation.

Qualified candidates will have extensive Cisco and Palo Alto experience, IAVA processing, and on-call readiness. The position requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and at least 8 years of related experience.
Must have at least 5 years of in-depth experience with Cisco hardware/software.
Must have at least 5 years of in-depth experience with Palo Alto hardware/software.
Experience providing analysis, root cause diagnosis, and troubleshooting for routers, switches, and firewalls.
Understanding of IP subnetting, VLANs and the OSI layers.
In-depth experience with various vendor networking products (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.).
Solid understanding of physical mediums (copper, fiber types and connectors).
Ability to respond to operational issues while on-call.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain network documentation for incident resolution.
Provide enterprise network support and collaborate with IT service provider teams.
Manage information assurance vulnerability alerts and security scanning per System Security Plans.
Propose, design, test, and install new capabilities; oversee development of technical data like rack elevations and installation instructions.
