Job summary

Impact Networking, LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the MIT Service Operations team. You will manage 1st-3rd layer network incidents, perform troubleshooting, and coordinate with vendors to restore services for client environments.

You will monitor alarms, review logs, and implement changes while building strong client relationships. The role emphasizes documentation, training peers, and staying current with networking technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production support for enterprise or MSP.
• Knowledge of BGP4, OSPF, ISIS and Internet routing concepts.
• Knowledge of routing architectures, spanning tree, and layer 2 switching.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, DNS, and load balancers.
• Experience with incident/change/request management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer support and technical expertise for Impact Networking environments.
• Manage network incidents to restoration, resolution, and closure with internal teams and external vendors.
• Monitor and verify alarms; verify resolutions with remote locations.
• Perform network configuration changes in response to client issues.
• Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
