Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Contractor Assistant Program Manager (Program Support Lead) to support NAVSEA 05Z program activities from Washington, DC.

You will be part of a dynamic team, assisting the PM with day-to-day operations, onboarding, and reporting while ensuring timely, accurate information delivery. The role requires DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, a bachelor’s degree, and at least 5 years of related experience, with strong MS Office skills and top-notch communication.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related experience.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PM with day-to-day program operations.
• Develop job descriptions and manage resume reviews and interviews.
• Oversee onboarding processes and reporting (weekly, monthly, annual).
• Manage timecards and basic financials; recognize high performers.
• Provide training to government and contractor staff on submarine operations and risk management.
• Support senior staff and work with the team with minimal supervision.
• Prepare, organize, and present information concisely for senior management.
