Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in the United States is seeking an Account Executive Officer for National Accounts. You will partner with agents, brokers and customers to deliver guaranteed cost and loss sensitive solutions and to write and retain accounts aligned with our risk appetite.

As a technical resource, you will assess complex risk, negotiate with clients, and build internal and external relationships to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6–8 years of underwriting experience with National Accounts.
• Deep knowledge of loss sensitive products and local market.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet regularly with agents, brokers, and customers to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD guidance.
• Mentor less experienced Account Executives.
