Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer in National Property. You will partner with agents and brokers to secure coverage for new and renewal business, using strong underwriting and relationship skills to drive profitability and growth.

Travel to meetings with external partners is expected. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree, substantial underwriting experience in National Property, CPCU is a plus, and possess deep financial acumen with excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in National Property.
• Deep knowledge of property products, regulation and local market.
• Strong financial acumen and risk assessment ability.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with agents/brokers.
• CPCU designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex accounts to minimize risk and maximize profit.
• Occasionally place foreign admitted policies and support global underwriting.
• Build relationships with internal partners to create sales plans.
• Meet agents/brokers in person to market and sell Travelers products.
• Identify new business opportunities through consultative sales.
• Develop agency sales plans and collaborate with MD on regional plans.
• Assist in training less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
