Job summary

Travelers National Accounts is seeking an Account Executive to manage profitability, growth and retention for a high-value book of business. You will underwrite and negotiate complex accounts, collaborate with internal teams to craft sales plans, and cultivate strong relationships with agents, brokers and customers.

Travel to meetings is required. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in national accounts underwriting, a Bachelor’s degree, and CPCU designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of relevant underwriting experience in National Accounts.
• Knowledge of loss sensitive products and local insurance markets.
• CPCU designation preferred.
• Strong financial acumen and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with external agents, brokers, and customers; travel for meetings.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency and region sales plans.
