Job summary

Travelers in North Carolina seeks a Senior Account Executive Officer for National Accounts to manage high-complexity clients and lead strategic client engagements. You will underwrite, negotiate, and structure guaranteed cost and loss-sensitive coverages tailored to large accounts.

You will partner with agents, brokers and internal teams to drive profitable growth, develop sales plans, and mentor junior staff while traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Eight to ten years of underwriting experience with National Accounts.
• Deep knowledge of loss sensitive products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking and timely decision-making in underwriting and marketing.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with agents and brokers.
• Advanced sales and marketing skills.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned, high-complexity book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate highly complex customer accounts to minimize risk.
• Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to create sales plans.
• Meet agents and brokers in person to market Travelers products.
• Identify and capture new business using advanced consultative selling.
• Develop agency sales plans with Managing Director to align regional goals.
• Support less experienced underwriters with coaching.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
