Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Alpharetta, GA, seeks an Account Executive Officer for National Accounts. You will partner with agents and customers to provide guaranteed cost and loss-sensitive coverage for new and renewal business, with a focus on complex risk assessment and profitable growth.

You will build internal and external relationships, negotiate effectively, and lead agency sales plans with MD collaboration while traveling to key meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with National Accounts.
• Deep knowledge of loss sensitive products and regulatory environment.
• Strong financial acumen and risk assessment capability.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with agents/brokers.
• CPCU designation highly desirable.
• Four years of underwriting, claims, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents, brokers, and customers to market and sell Travelers products; travel as required.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop agency sales plans with MD guidance.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
