Job summary

Travelers is seeking a senior Risk Control professional in North Carolina to provide expert risk assessments for large, complex accounts. You will partner with Underwriting, Claims, and Risk Control specialists to manage a profitable book and deliver proactive risk mitigation.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, advanced certifications, and a proven ability to communicate and influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management or related fields.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must meet state-specific certification requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers on-site 20–50% of the time.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book.
• Build relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers.
• Complete risk assessments for high-complexity accounts (manufacturing, large warehouses, complex property exposures).
• Write detailed risk assessment reports with clear recommendations.
• Provide risk mitigation solutions using Travelers resources and stay current with regulations.
• Act as subject matter expert in specialty areas to support the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
