Travelers in the United States is seeking an Account Executive Officer for National Accounts. The role focuses on underwriting, relationship building with agents and customers, and driving profitable growth across a large book of business. Significant travel to client sites is required.

The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years in underwriting for National Accounts, deep knowledge of loss-sensitive products and regulatory contexts, and strong financial acumen. CPCU designation is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Four years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience.
• Deep knowledge of loss sensitive products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities in complex risk scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents, brokers, and customers to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Travel to meetings as needed to client sites and conferences.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD to drive regional sales.
• Mentor less experienced Account Executives where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
