Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Technician 2 in Charlotte, NC. The role involves servicing vacant and occupied apartments, performing painting, drywall and repair tasks, and maintaining building systems to preserve asset value.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in all weather. You will support residents, colleagues, and vendors and participate in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years maintenance experience required.
• 3-5 years painting and drywall repairs required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC systems and appliances expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy including painting, drywall repair, trash out, mechanical, plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Independently perform system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters, HVAC systems and appliances.
• Perform detailed carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting tasks.
• Identify when full-paint or touch-up paint is needed and select correct sheen/color.
• Maintain logs and monitor safety in common areas and apartments.
• Participate in on-call rotation and assist other teams as needed.
