Job summary

JES Holdings seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring units are turnover-ready and residents receive prompt service.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in multifamily or similar settings with strong capabilities in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Responsibilities include completing work orders, on-call availability, and training on HUD/LIHTC standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (eg. door entry systems, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make readies ensuring timely completion (painting, carpet cleaning, general unit cleaning).
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors while operating a registered and insured vehicle.
• Report to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
• Travel to and participate in regional and corporate trainings/conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Notify manager of health and safety concerns on site.
• Willing to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Eager to train and learn HUD and LIHTC maintenance standards.
