Job summary

JES Holdings, encompassing Fairway Management, is seeking a maintenance professional to upkeep over 250 apartment communities in the affordable housing market. You will perform unit turns, respond to work orders, and provide proactive maintenance to ensure resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily/commercial/hotel settings.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems.
• Familiarity with REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.
• Preferred HVAC EPA Type II Certification.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make readies including painting, carpet cleaning, and cleaning.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors while operating a registered and insured vehicle.
• Report to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
• Travel to regional and corporate trainings/conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, staff.
• Make the manager aware of health and safety concerns on site.
• Willing to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Eager to train in HVAC safety and HUD/LIHTC maintenance training.
