Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Multifamily properties in the Washington, DC area. This role ensures market-ready apartments, timely response to resident requests, and effective maintenance operations.

The candidate will manage plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry tasks and safety compliance, with on-call duties as needed. A High School diploma and 3+ years of related experience are required, with EPA 608 Type II or CPO certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA 608 Type II or CPO certification are required or preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of housing codes and safety standards is important.

Responsibilities

• Prepare market-ready apartments including painting, cleaning, and basic repairs.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of maintenance functions (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Maintain grounds and common areas; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Provide on-call emergency response as required.
• Report budget-impacting maintenance issues to the manager.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and record activities.
• Ensure compliance with housing laws and company policies.
