Job summary

Newbury Living is seeking a Maintenance Operations Lead to oversee maintenance across multiple properties in the Eastern Iowa Region. You will lead maintenance teams, ensure safety, quality, and timely service, and coordinate with property and regional staff.

The role requires hands-on maintenance expertise, supervisory experience, and the ability to travel between sites. Successful candidates will help manage capital projects and compliance while delivering exceptional resident service.

Qualifications

• Residence within Iowa Quad Cities, IL/IA or Burlington, IA area.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in multifamily housing or related field.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• General working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and maintenance practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities across several locations.

Responsibilities

• Learn and adhere to The Newbury Way and Fair Housing Laws.
• Travel to perform and oversee maintenance operations across properties.
• Supervise, train, coach, and monitor Maintenance Technicians for safety and service excellence.
• Schedule routine, seasonal and preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure timely completion of work orders and high tenant satisfaction.
• Prepare maintenance reports, records, and budgets with managers.
