Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Frisco, TX seeks an Underwriter to provide multifamily mortgage loan analysis, sizing and underwriting in support of Credit Risk Management. The role focuses on Agency Guide compliance for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and collaboration in a high production environment.

The position requires experience with complex underwriting, due diligence, and knowledge of specialized programs such as Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Optigo. Travel may be occasional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related applications.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and analyze data for mortgage loan submissions per Agency standards.
• Manage due diligence including deal files and checklists.
• Inspect properties and document physical/economic conditions with support materials.
• Review third party reports for compliance with agency requirements.
• Analyze borrower structures and financial statements in light of market conditions.
• Ensure credit risk issues are mitigated and properly discussed with senior underwriters.
• Ensure underwriting narratives reflect solid, supportable conclusions.
• Understand Agency Guide requirements and apply changes.
• Prepare loan submission packages per Agency Guide and internal requirements.
• Assist in completing underwriting aspects of final loan delivery.
