Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Frisco, TX seeks an Underwriter to provide multifamily mortgage loan and borrower credit analysis, sizing, and underwriting support for the Credit Risk Management team. The role requires collaboration in a high production environment and familiarity with Agency Guide requirements.

The position emphasizes data analysis, due diligence, and coordination with Closing to deliver funded loans, with travel as needed and a focus on credit strength and mitigants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• Proficient level of computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and related applications.
• High attention to detail, highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and analyze data from property owners, borrowers, lenders and third party sources to prepare mortgage loan submissions.
• Execute the due diligence process, maintain deal files and coordinate with Closing to facilitate funding.
• Inspect properties and document conclusions on physical and economic conditions with maps or aerials.
• Order and review third party reports ensuring adherence to agency requirements.
• Analyze borrower’s legal structure and financial statements in light of property and market conditions.
• Ensure credit risk issues are mitigated and discussed with senior underwriters.
• Ensure information in underwriter’s narrative is accurate and support credit decisions.
• Understand Agency Guide requirements and stay updated on changes.
• Prepare loan submission packages in compliance with Agency Guide and internal requirements.
• Assist the Deputy Chief Underwriter in underwriting final loan delivery.
