Job summary

Truist in Frisco, TX seeks an experienced Mortgage Underwriter for multifamily real estate loans. You will analyze borrower financials, property data, and third-party reports to support credit decisions in collaboration with Risk Management. Strong knowledge of Agency guidelines (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) and underwriting best practices is required. Travel may be occasional.

The role emphasizes precision, deal modeling, and coordination with Closing to ensure timely funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from property owners, borrowers, lenders and third party sources to prepare mortgage loan submissions per Agency standards.
• Execute the due diligence process and coordinate with Closing for funding and delivery.
• Inspect properties and document physical/economic conditions with presentations.
• Order, review and interpret third party reports to ensure adherence to agency requirements.
• Analyze borrower entities and financial statements, ensuring KYT standards and risk mitigants.
• Ensure information in underwriting narrativ e is accurate and well supported for credit decisions.
• Stay updated on Agency Guide requirements and pricing changes.
• Prepare loan submission packages in line with Agency Guide and internal requirements.
