Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks an Underwriter to provide multifamily mortgage loan and borrower credit analysis in Dallas, TX, supporting the Credit Risk Management team. The role requires expertise with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidance and the ability to work in a high-volume environment, including affordability diligence.

Responsibilities include data collection, due diligence, property condition assessments, third-party reports review, and thorough credit analysis of Borrower Entities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and their related applications.
• High attention to detail, highly organized and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ability to take initiative with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and analyze data to prepare mortgage loan submissions per Agency standards.
• Execute the due diligence process and coordinate with Closing.
• Inspect properties and document findings with maps and aerials.
• Review third party reports for agency compliance.
• Analyze the borrower’s legal structure and financial statements per Agency/Truist requirements.
• Mitigate credit risk issues and discuss with underwriters.
• Ensure accuracy of the underwriter’s narrative and support for credit decisions.
• Stay updated on Agency Guide requirements and pricing changes.
• Prepare loan submission packages per Agency Guide.
• Assist the Deputy Chief Underwriter in final loan delivery packaging.
