Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician III to join our Operations & Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment, including clean rooms. The role involves multi-craft maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on building equipment and production systems.

You will work with a self-directed team under minimal supervision, perform equipment evaluations, and assist with installation and servicing while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or trade school certification in Industrial Electrical, Industrial Mechanical, Industrial Technology, HVAC or related field.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory and ability to perform basic electrical repairs to switches/ outlets and replace lighting ballasts.
• Mechanical skills to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment.
• Knowledge of basic refrigeration theory and EPA guidelines.
• Experience safely using a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Safely follows safety guidelines and uses PPE as required.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs facility and production equipment per regulations and standards.
• Analyzes failures and performs repairs on building and production services.
• Performs planned maintenance and maintains spare parts inventory.
• Troubleshoots mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, and compressed air to minimize downtime.
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections and improves maintenance procedures.
