Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician II to join our operations & maintenance team at East Peoria, IL. Typical work schedule will vary based on business demand.

Typical working hours are 2:30 - 11:00 pm. This position provides an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing emergency and preventive maintenance and repairs on building equipment, fixtures and systems in a manufacturing environment including clean rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Two years of maintenance experience in Industrial HVAC/Mechanical repair.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents and specs.
• Driver's license may be required; ability to obtain security access if needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform maintenance and repairs on facility and production equipment.
• Analyze failures, inspect and maintain building services to minimize downtime.
• Perform planned maintenance and document results in CMMS.
• Support contractors and project teams during renovations or installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and provide accurate job estimates.
