Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician III to join our Operations & Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment, including clean rooms. This intermediate role handles work orders, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems, with multi-craft duties and support for licensed trades.

The position emphasizes safety, the use of PPE, and collaboration with contractors, project managers, and engineers to support renovations and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or trade school certification in Industrial Electrical, Industrial Mechanical, Industrial Technology, HVAC or related field.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory.
• Mechanical skills for preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Knowledge of basic refrigeration theory and EPA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs functions following safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout; wears PPE as required.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs facility and production equipment per regulations and standards.
• Analyzes equipment failures, inspects and maintains building and production services and related equipment.
• Performs planned maintenance on building equipment and related services for the area; responsive to customer needs.
• Performs troubleshooting on mechanical equipment (HVAC, pumps, hydraulic systems, RO/DI, compressed air) to minimize downtime.
• Maintains CMMS records and supports parts inventory and service installations.
