Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician III to join our Operations & Maintenance team in Albuquerque, NM. This contingent role supports maintenance and repairs in a manufacturing environment, including clean rooms, under minimal supervision.

You will perform multi-craft tasks, respond to work orders, and help ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance while collaborating with contractors and engineers.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or trade school certification in Industrial Electrical, Industrial Mechanical, Industrial Technology, HVAC or a related field.
• Knowledge of basic electrical theory to perform basic repairs.
• Mechanical skills to support preventive maintenance
• Knowledge of basic refrigeration theory
• Knowledge of EPA guidelines
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills for data entry and email

Responsibilities

• Safely performs functions following safety guidelines (JHA, lockout/tagout, PPE).
• Operates, maintains, and repairs facility and production equipment.
• Analyzes failures and maintains building and production services.
• Performs planned maintenance and manages spare parts inventory.
• Troubleshoots mechanical equipment including HVAC, pumps, hydraulics, and compressed air.
• Performs preventative maintenance inspections.
• Assists install/inspect new equipment and servicing installations.
• Provides support to coworkers, contractors, and engineers as needed.
