Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician I (Helper) to join our New Albany, Ohio operations and maintenance team. The role supports higher level technicians in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on buildings and facilities equipment in a manufacturing environment.

The position requires high school diploma, at least 1 year of related maintenance experience, and ability to work at heights up to 30 feet in aerial lift/scissor lift settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• 1 year of experience performing maintenance in a data center, industrial, hospital, pharmaceutical/biomedical environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assists the team with a variety of facility maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Assists co-workers in diagnosing malfunctions in production machinery and equipment.
• Maintains, operates, and troubleshoots systems and equipment such as overhead door systems, pumps, piping, seals and valves.
• Performs general maintenance such as painting and sign hanging.
• Troubleshoots and repairs basic electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues.
• Uses CMMS for preventive maintenance scheduling.
