Job summary

Anthropic Limited is seeking an experienced Platform Portability Engineer to design and build portable cross-cloud infrastructure. You will own delivery pipelines and collaborate with cloud providers to enable seamless deployment of Claude across multiple clouds.

You will mentor engineers on multi-cloud patterns, review designs for portability, and contribute to incident response while shaping the platform's ability to run safely and reliably at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of practical experience building and operating production distributed systems.
• Experience across multi-cloud environments and cloud IAM models.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Python/Go/Rust).
• Kubernetes experience and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Background in security, compliance, or data residency for regulated cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build portable abstractions for cross-cloud storage, messaging, and connectivity.
• Own end-to-end delivery of Claude on partner cloud platforms, including build, release, and validation pipelines.
• Lead cross-cloud patterns, mentor engineers, and review designs with cloud-portability implications.
• Collaborate with cloud partners and internal teams to implement native provider integrations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and develop postmortems and runbooks.
