Job summary

Anthropic Limited is seeking experienced software engineers to join the Platform organization. You will own core infrastructure powering Anthropic’s engineering teams, build cloud-agnostic tooling for multi-region deployments, and scale the Claude API platform to deliver fast, reliable services to developers and enterprises.

You will collaborate with research, product, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient systems across billing, auth, and platform safety areas.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer building scalable distributed systems
• Strong fundamentals in service-oriented architectures, networking, and systems design
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust or similar languages
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Ability to own design through deployment and operate large-scale platforms
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and making independent technical decisions
• Product-focused mindset and aim to build robust, scalable systems used by engineers

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core infrastructure powering Anthropic’s engineering org
• Develop cloud-agnostic tooling for multi-region deployments
• Own performance, reliability and efficiency of Claude API serving path
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, Sales and Accounting on revenue-focused platforms
• Create APIs and primitives for agentic applications on Claude API
• Work acrossAuth & Identity, Platform Safety and Platform Serving teams to ensure scalable, secure platforms
