Job summary

BD in the United States offers a field-based Medical Science Liaison role serving a territory that includes North East and Mid-Atlantic regions, with travel 60–80% and leadership over three MSLs. Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD/DO/PhD/PharmD/NP/PA/RN).
• 3–5 years field-based MSL experience and/or plastic surgery work experience.
• Experience in medical affairs and KOL engagement; knowledge of US healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Align medical strategy with cross-functional partners (medical, clinical, marketing, regulatory, R&D, market access).
• Identify and map stakeholders (KOLs, surgeons, HCPs, payers, patient groups, influencers).
• Develop engagement plans reflecting stakeholder needs and goals.
• Design and execute coordinated engagement objectives for each audience segment.
• Deploy a mix of proactive and reactive engagement tactics (educational sessions, advisory boards, congresses, data inquiries).
• Use in-person/virtual KOL meetings, collaborative research, educational events, surgical congresses, digital platforms.
• Collect and communicate insights to refine medical strategy and support leadership in plastics and reconstructive surgery.
• Maintain compliance and ethical standards; ensure separation between scientific engagement and promotion.
• Track activities against benchmarks and adapt tactics to maximize value.
• Foster long-term relationships as a scientific expert and stay up-to-date in plastics/reconstructive surgery.
• Manage a small territory with direct supervision of three MSLs.
