Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Senior Loan Processor to provide outstanding customer service by gathering documentation to underwrite loans and communicate with customers and loan officers. You’ll ensure proper disclosures are provided as required by law.

You will review borrower information, assemble package for underwriting, verify documents, and support the loan process from application to funding while maintaining compliance with RESPA, TIL, Reg B/Z and related regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of residential mortgage processing experience is required.
• Knowledge of RESPA and mortgage regulations (Reg Z/Reg B) is preferred.
• Strong math and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Encompass experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower’s credit, employment, income, and assets as required for underwriting.
• Assemble the complete loan package in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify all required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file.
• Complete the required loan checklist.
• Verify that an application is complete and accurate; identify issues for underwriting.
• Prepare a loan approval summary, Forms 1008 and 1003, ensuring accuracy of all information.
• Communicate with the Loan Originator, customer, and underwriter to obtain documentation.
• Review loans for compliance with mortgage regulations (RESPA, TIL, Reg B, etc.).
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain Survey, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information.
• Verify vendor orders, invoices, and E-file status.
• Manage pipeline by submitting reports within turn-around times.
• Assist set-up of loans.
• Document all loan communications in the log.
• Train and supervise new loan processors and processing staff.
• Assist closing, secondary marketing, and servicing to clear suspense items.
