Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage Mountain Region is seeking a Senior Loan Processor in Denver to support our loan processing team. You will verify documents, coordinate with underwriters, title companies, and real estate partners to ensure accurate, timely closings while delivering strong customer service.

The ideal candidate has several years of mortgage processing experience, knowledge of FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional programs, and proficiency with LOS, AUS, and Encompass.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of loan processing experience in a mortgage banker or lending company, bank, or credit union.
• Strong attention to detail, customer service, time management, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations.
• Knowledge of FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional loan programs.
• Experience with LOS, AUS, and Encompass preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify loan documentation for underwriters (title insurance, appraisals, loan applications, credit reports, income/asset declarations).
• Submit loan file documentation into necessary software programs accurately.
• Facilitate timely loan closings by coordinating with title companies, real estate agents, mortgage officers, borrowers, and underwriters.
• Ensure loan files and disclosures comply with company policies and state/federal lending guidelines.
• Order third‑party documentation/reports, maintain the mortgage file, and assist in clearing underwriting conditions.
• Review loan applications for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate proactively with clients to provide updates throughout the loan process.
• Coordinate with underwriters to resolve issues during loan approval.
• Maintain detailed records of all loan transactions and communications in the system.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the team.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify that all loan documentation, such as title insurance, appraisals, loan applications, credit reports, and income and asset declarations are accurate and provided promptly to underwriters for loan approval
• Submit loan file documentation accurately into necessary software programs
• Facilitate a timely loan closing by serving as the main point of contact for title companies, real estate agents, mortgage loan officer/mortgage loan originator, borrowers, and mortgage underwriters
• Confirm that all loan files, credit packages, and disclosure packages comply with company lending policies, as well as state and federal lending guidelines
• Order third‑party documentation and reports for residential home loans, create and maintain the mortgage loan file, and assist in clearing underwriting conditions as requested
• Review loan applications for completeness and compliance with industry regulations
• Communicate proactively with clients to provide updates and address any concerns throughout the loan process
• Coordinate with underwriters to resolve any issues that may arise during the loan approval process
• Maintain detailed records of all loan transactions and communications in our system
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the loan processing team

Qualifications

• Several (2–3) years of loan processing experience with a mortgage banker or mortgage lending company, bank, or credit union
• Excellent attention to detail, customer service, time management, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of the mortgage industry, specifically federal and state regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of current residential mortgage loans such as FNMA, FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional; commercial loan and refinance knowledge is an added asset
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, Loan Origination Software (LOS), and Automated Underwriting System (AUS)
• Encompass experience preferred
• Bilingual preferred—though not required

Compensation

$65,000+ DOE plus bonus
