Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a skilled Loan Processor to deliver quality customer service by gathering documentation to underwrite loans and coordinating with customers and Loan Officers. The role requires adherence to disclosures as required by regulations.

The candidate should have at least 5 years of residential mortgage processing experience, with Encompass proficiency and solid knowledge of RESPA and related regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general mortgage lending rules.
• Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower credit, employment, income and assets as required by the loan program before underwriting.
• Assemble the complete loan package in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify all required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file.
• Complete the required loan checklist.
• Verify that an application is complete and accurate; identify issues that may arise in underwriting.
• Prepare a loan approval summary, Forms 1008 and 1003, and ensure accuracy of printed documents; coordinate with the Loan Originator, customer and Underwriter to obtain missing documents.
• Review loans for compliance with mortgage-related regulations and prepare required disclosures.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to obtain Survey, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information.
• Verify that vendor orders and invoices are in the applicant’s E-file.
• Manage pipeline by submitting reports within turn-around times.
• Assist setup of loans.
• Document all communication related to the loan application in the log.
• Train and supervise new Loan Processors and other processing personnel.
• Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to clear suspense items from investors.
• Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed.
